Details

The Fuchs Foundation Antarctic Expedition is a return to the pioneering days of Antarctic Exploration. When the pursuit of knowledge and information drove the explorers to discover the last great continent and its interior. This expedition aims to carry out viable and relevant science in the harsh environment of polar conditions. Science that is exciting and contributes to the wealth of knowledge being gained by the professional research organisations. Science and experience that will inspire young people to learn about the Polar Regions and there impact on the planet as a whole. It is about real science that makes a difference. Science carried out by determined and trained teachers on the Antarctic continent.

Introduction

Peter Fuchs has a vision; to take young people and teachers to the Antarctic and the Arctic. An ongoing vision that each year the Fuchs Foundation provides the opportunity for such people to travel to the polar areas. Not only the Antarctic, but areas such as Greenland and Iceland as well. They will inspire and lead future young people to develop responsible and committed adults, adults with the character and capacity to lead. The Fuchs Foundation Antarctic Expedition will be the launch of Peter’s vision.
