Each expedition involves a trekking challenge and a community or science project and is tailor made to the schools/colleges and students requirements. Each expedition involves an 18 month build up with a qualified experienced leader appointed once the destination has been decided. Expeditions can incorporate direct website updates and daily dispatches via Satellite phone and PDA for students back at school to follow and link into the school curriculum.

- Leaders allocated from the start
- 3 training weekends
- Young Explorers Trust approval
- School/Group ownership of expedition
- Website updates from the field
The expedition build up, training, execution and post expedition can incorporate the following awards:

BPE staff will work alongside the school and students to raise the funds which in turn build partnerships with the community and business.
